My fingers, once dextrous,
now fumble and fail.
Clumsily pushing
twisting and turning.
The clasp will not open.
Happiness, warmth and porcelain skin all wait inside.
Twenty years dissolve
I am once again nervous
anxious
eager
trembling
longing
yours
